Jack Royer and Jeff Inman of CBS 42 spoke with our Citizenship students

Thank you to Jack Royer and Jeff Inman of CBS 42 for speaking with the students in our Citizenship class yesterday! They discussed the sales side of broadcasting, the role media plays in the community, its' role in covering politics and controversial issues, and the challenges they face.

Jack Royer is an Emmy-nominated journalist who serves as weeknight evening co-anchor at CBS 42 News at 5, 6, and 10. Royer’s work covering Alabama has been recognized by the Alabama Broadcaster’s Association, the Associated Press and also earned him an EMMY Nomination. In 2017, Jack won “Best News Feature” at the Alabama Broadcasters Association ABBY Awards for his ride along with Tuscaloosa Sanitation Workers.
